My response to this particular anti-gay marriage video commercial

My comments are in black and the quotes are in blue.

Response to the  video above:
In the beginnings it says:
When two people fall in love, they can get married, right? So why can't two men or two women who love each other, marry? Isn't it discrimination? YES GODDAMN IT, IT IS.
It's not discrimination to treat different situations in different ways.On some level I agree but mostly disagree about this particular situation. With that opinion, you're actually encouraging double standards in society among people. And using a silly excuse while doing that too!
It's like saying: Hey, it's not bullying if he's not gay, black or religious. He's normal so it's fine.
Double standards are a serious problem in today's society. Women and men get treated differently. Atheists and Christians get treated differently. Homosexuals and heterosexuals get treated differently. The list goes on and on.
Example #1
Being a female bisexual/lesbian is considered popular, hot and trendy.
Being a male bisexual/homosexual is considered shameful, immoral and definitely NOT popular.
Example #2
A male car mechanic is a typical, 'normal' thing that people are used to. Guys have no problem trusting a male car mechanic to fix their vehicle.
A female car mechanic though, is considered unskilled and untrustworthy. Guys have trouble trusting female car mechanics to fix their car because they believe that they are less skilled than other men and don't have the capacity or ability to do the work. The work built for men.
The same applies to male nurses, etc etc etc.
The level I agree with is basically the fact that the world isn't black and white. There are so many shades of gray and nothing can be JUST evil and wrong or perfect and right.
The relationship between a man and a woman is unique, only a man and a woman can make new life, only a man and a woman can give a child a mum and a dad.
The relationship between a man and a woman is unique? Huh? I disagree. Why? Here's why.
My parents divorced when I was 5 years old and my mum got a boyfriend after a while, and my dad got a girlfriend. They stayed good friends (which is usually rare but I'm thankful for it) and honestly, I have to say I couldn't have had a happier childhood. I basically had two mums and two dads. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I don't think it would be better if my parents stayed together and fought all the time..
I think every family is unique regardless of the number of the members in that family, their sex, sexual orientation, race, religion and other. I consider my family consisting of my two mums, two dads and a step brother, a real family.
Why would it matter to have a mum and a dad anyway? Is that the point? Balance while growing up?
Having a dad to teach you some 'manly' stuff and a mum to teach you 'feminine' stuff? Because, if you have only one parent you turn out to be unbalanced and either too-feminine or too-masculine? Is that how homosexuals are created? Of course not! You are born like that but that's another topic.
Anyway, I'm quite a butch and masculine female. Did I become like this because I spent more time with my dad? Of course not. That is ridiculous. I became like this because I preferred jeans over skirts, blue over pink, sports over make-up. It's what interested me more. It's my personality. It's who I am.
No two men or two women can ever do this. So it makes sense to treat something unique in a unique way. That's not discrimination.
Ever hear of in vitro fertilisation  Using a sperm donor? Adoption? The options aren't limitless but there are plenty of them. Right, so a man and a woman who have a baby are unique. How about a man and a woman who can't have a baby because some health issues? Should they not be allowed to marry because they can't create a new life?
Marriage is a private promise between two people but it has a big public purpose as well. That purpose is unique and important to give children the love a mum and dad can give to their family.
If marriage is a private promise between to people that love each other, why can't those two people be of the same sex? A big public purpose? I don't understand that. You've just said that a marriage a private promise to respect one another, love one another and so on.. but what kind of a public purpose does it serve? As something kids would look up to, perhaps. They would learn right and wrong from that. They would learn to be respectful, don't lie and cheat and so. It's not unique, for god's sake! What about a grandmother raising her grandson? An aunt raising her nephew? A single parent dad raising his daughter?
Should those children be taken away from their guardians just because they are not growing up with two parents, one male and one female and their biological parents? Should we not allow adoption then?
Of course, not all married couples have children but every child ever born has a mum and a dad.
Every child was made out of a sperm and an egg, yes. Some conceived by sexual intercourse, in vitro fertilisation...etc but nevertheless by an egg and a sperm. Does that mean all kids are raised by two parents? Because accidents happen, their mum/dad could have died and who do they have then?

Marriage between a man and a woman recognises this basic fact, and that's why marriage is our most important social institution.
Recognises the basic fact of what? A man and a woman marrying? Fifty years ago, people were fighting for interracial marriage and all the same comments lined up. 'Sanctity of marriage, blah blah..'
In my opinion, marriage is a promise between two people that love each other. No matter their, sex, sexual orientation, religon, race..
It's our way of saying that differences between men and women matter. That the differences between mothers and fathers matter.
You're basically saying that women's place is in the kitchen and raising kids and men's place to be the head of the house and work. You're actually celebrating the genetical differences between men and women and using them to stereotype. Mother should be patient, loving and feminine. Fathers should be strict, masculine but caring. There's no grey here. It's only black and white.. and I strongly disagree.
All kids should have the right to get what they love.. a loving mum and dad.
A loving mum and dad? As I've said before. Not all of us are so lucky to have one perfect (typical) dad and perfect (typical) mum. (Yes this is sarcasm).
Some children lost one of their parents, some lost both. Some live with their relatives.
And I'm sure most of the children in foster homes would rather be in a warm, loving home with two same sex parents (or one parent regardless of his/hers sexual orientation) rather than in a foster home.
So lets not change the message of marriage by redefinding it. For the sake of our children.
Marriage has been redefines so many times. First it was a ceremony between people of the highest ranks, of course white. Then it spread to all people. Then other races could do that too. And now people of the same sex want that privilege too! Your children might be a part of the LGBTQ community and how are you protecting them then? You're limiting them of their basic rights as humans. You're doing that to your children.
Can you imagine that? Not being able to marry someone you love? Because of someone else who doesn't like the sound of 'gay marriage' so he's opposing it. Think about it.
We're talking about equality here, people.

Tragedy strikes..

Twenty-six people died today at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Twenty of them were children, six were adults. Among the adults, there were the school's principal and school's physchologist. They were all killed by a young, twenty year old man named Adam Lanza.

It  truly saddens me when I read people's comments on this.
'So what? Many people die every day. It's not me, I don't care.'
I'm not sure what are they expecting to achieve with that; looking bad-ass, looking cool or whatever. Well it doesn't. It makes you look like a bloody jackass. Instead of acting like one, try showing some compassion because the situation could be different. It could be someone you know.
What if it was your mum or dad? Your best friend, girlfriend, boyfriend or even your little brother or sister?
Can you imagine living without a family member?
Still not convinced? Go ahead and try talking to a hysteric crying mother who's child died and convince her that it's fine that her kid died because so many other people die every day. Can you do that? No, you can't.
Because he/she meant the bloody world to her. You don't know the feeling of parenthood, the love you feel for your child, what length would you go for her/him.. You underestimating it.

And I still see people on Omegle making fun of it..
'All the other kids from Connecticut, you better run, better run outrun my gun'
This literally sicks me. As you may or may not know, the person used lyrics from the song Pumped up kicks by the Foster people and worked the reference of the shooting into a verse.
The original lyrics are: All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you better run, better run, outrun my gun.
I know you may think it's clever or funny but it's sick, what it is. I personally like some black humor every now and then but not something like this.
Another thing I saw was:
The parents of the kids that died in the connecticut shooting should be thankful. He saved them lots of money and now they will be able to buy nice things. Fucking ungrateful dicks.
I can't even.. I'm not sure should I even bother. I'd say it is a troll but I feel like he put too much effort and emotion in it and that this is his/hers actual opinion.

All in all, my heart goes out to the families and friends. It gets better. Not instantly, not completely but over time it stops hurting as much. It never fades away completely because the memory of her/him will still be as fresh in 20 years as it is now but you learn to live with it over time. It gets better.

Bronies and equality rant

I often come across hate for variety of things:
Homosexuals, AfroAmericans, people with disability.. etc.
I talked about most of those before (and I'm planning on talking more in the future) but this particular rant is about Bronies.
Bronies are people of any age who like the fandom My Little Pony: Friendship is magic or so called MLP.
They can be of either gender (Bronies or Pegasisters even though females prefer the term Bronies as well).
I personally, don't watch the show but I support it with all my heart. The show is about friendship, love and happiness and there's nothing wrong with that. I doesn't matter that it's a cartoon or that it was first made for young girls. I really don't think any type of entertainment should be labelled specifically for girls or for boys.
Because if we're planning to start labeling everything either pink or blue then we might as well go back a century where women belonged only in the kitchen, making food for their husbands aka owners and raising kids while they were out making money and bringing home the bacon. Would this mean that I shouldn't have watched all the parts of Rocky or Rambo? Because they were made for hardcore men and men only? Hell, there's a love story even in rocky, maybe that was only put in there for the rare women who had the permission to watch it.
This is just another type of discrimination and I'm sorry for bringing it up again but I can't ignore it.
...
The world isn't black and white. The world isn't split into the good people who lead perfect lives and carry on to have perfect kids while they fight the bad people who only want all the worst for the world.
There are shades of gray. People have flaws, people aren't perfect. Some people are homophobic because they were molested by a person of the same sex but they donate to charity whenever they can. Some people have treated their families badly because their parents treated them badly and now they are regretting it. Some people are the world's most famous surgeons helping all kinds of people but are terrified of little people because of who-knows-what. People aren't split into the good guys and the bad guys.
...
Another thing, when somebody mentions a Brony he/she immediately thinks of a gay person. Most commonly, a gay guy. This is a stereotype. Just because he watches the MLP doesn't mean he is gay. Just because he dresses well and takes care of his hygiene doesn't mean he is gay. Just because he acts a bit feminine, doesn't mean he is gay. We actually talked about something similar in my Ethics class in school (my professor is amazing, I praise her).
...
Many people don't know the difference between gender and sex.
Sex - biological difference between men and women.
Sex can be either Male or Female.
Gender - aspects of masculinity and femininity that are not biological but cultural. Learned through socialisation.
Let's take me for an example. My sex is female, I feel like a female, I am a female but, my gender is masculine. I am a tomboy. That doesn't mean I want to BE a man, that doesn't mean I want to dress like a man. That doesn't mean I'm a lesbian. That means that I identify myself as a masculine woman. I don't like make up, dresses nor anything else along those lines. Just because I prefer a hoodie over a skirt, does not mean I am a transgender woman either. It's just who I am. It's my personality. It is me.
It's the same with feminine guys. I know a couple of feminine guys and they aren't all homosexual. If they were it wouldn't be a big deal but you get the point.
...
Another thing (I know I'm sorry.. I have to stop and go study).
I need to clear something up.
I googled the word 'Bronies' and the first result was a page called Urban Dictionary - a quite useful thing sometimes, and I read through the explanations of the word Bronies. I googled that because I wanted to acquire more information about them. Most of the results were a bit offensive and contained only subjective opinions on Bronies which wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I smoothly ignored all the offensive ones until I read something.. disturbing.

The term used to describe the fan community(usually of the older group, males and females) of the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Brony A: "Dude, just finished watching the first season from MLP:FiM!"
Brony B: "Cool! So who do you think is the best pony?"
Brony A mentions the pony they think is best.
Brony B Agrees and exclaims: "Brohoof!"
The bronies brohoof, similar to a high five.
^ Example of a normal and objective description of Bronies.

------
Bronies simply means people who are of an older age group and like to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. There is nothing particularly exciting about this, but they make a big deal out of it.
^ Example of a subjective description of Bronies. Also I disagree with the 'older age group' part. As far as I know 11 year olds use the term as well.

-----

Then I came across this wonderfully written description.
Bronies: Teenage to young-adult, mostly male, fans of the animated cartoon "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." The term is often accepted as gender-neutral, and many female fans prefer "brony" over the not-so-popular "pegasister."

We have an awful lot of negative stereotypes that mostly aren't true. Not all of us are into R34. Not all of us are homosexual. And not all of us are furries; our fandom is, in my opinion, completely separate from furries.

We have a ton of talented artists, musicians, and authors that make our fandom so special. The fanbase is constantly growing and spreading it's hard to avoid if you're an avid Internet user. Will everyone appreciate this? Hell, no. Is it necessary to bash the fandom because it? Absolutely not.

Before you bash and call us "faggots," check out the show for yourself.

(By the way, Fluttershy is best pony. Your argument is invalid.)
Brony: Hey guys, have you seen the show "My Little Pony?"
Friend 1: No, but it sounds so gay.

Friend 2: It's all over the internet! And it's so stupid! I haven't even watched it, but I know bronies are all faggots.
Brony: Here, let me pull up one of the episodes on my iPhone.
^This person broke new ground and explained it perfectly.
----

Lonely male virgins between the ages of 15 and 55 who watch the girls' cartoon "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" either because it's cute and stupid like most things that lonely virgins fall in love with, or because they can flaunt their knowledge of the show to attract 8 year old girls to their mothers' basements for rape and cupcakes (except without the cupcakes).
Tim: "Hell yeah, man! New episode of My Little Pony!"
Jim: "Bro-hoof!"
Tim: "Yeah man, we are such bronies!"
Jim: "Forever alone...
^This person actually compared Bronies to rapists.. which is simply sick on it's own. Sick.
----

Older fans of the animated cartoon "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" These people, self entitled "Bronies" enjoy watching My little pony, while fisting their Male lovers asshole, and licking their only excrement. Needless to say, Majority of them Are autistic, and or homosexual.
Bronie 1: Hey Bronie, want to fist my asshole and lick my shit?
Bronie 2: Yeah, but only if you lick my balls. HURRDURRR
-Typical Bronies.
^
This was the most offensive one in my opinion.
Why don't we analyse it?
A) Bronies don't have to be in the older range of age.
B) Fisting their male lovers assholes has nothing to do with MLP nor consuming feces.
C) They don't have to be autistic nor homosexuals, another stereotype thought it has been proven that some autistic kids have improved their sociological skills while watching MLP, so it's a plus.
D) The example of typical conversation between two Bronies is complete bullshit. As I've said before, Bronies don't have to be homosexual but there's another thing that has been bothering me more.
Why do all (most) homophobic people think that homosexual men like eating feces? That is down right disgusting. They are mixing up homosexuals and coprophiles! Homosexuals have sexual and romantic relationships with the same sex. Homosexual men have sexual intercourse by inserting their own penis into the anus of another man and doing other things which I shall not mention right now. Coprophiles are people who consume feces. For god's sake people, know the difference!

Okay, I got a bit carried away there..
My point is, don't judge people on what they watch or like. I have a few friends who are bronies and they are pretty cool. I support them all the way.
I personally am not a fan of Twilight but I have many awesome friends who are. I try my best to respect Twilight and treat as simply another fandom.
I can't imagine someone insulting me because I like Harry Potter. Because of a such small information, somebody hating on me?
Can you?

Noise rant

It has come to my attention lately, that most people find birds singing very annoying.
Especially when they sing in mornings or at dawn which causes people to awake from slumber, grunt in anger and then not be able to fall asleep again, however hard they try. Sounds familiar? Hah, well I wouldn't know personally. :) I just really like the sound of birds singing, it's quite peaceful and calming to me. Just that feeling of waking up (on a Saturday or any day without an alarm), satisfyingly stretching and hearing cheerful tweets coming from the outside. It makes my day. It makes me smile. You know?
Same thing for crickets! Oh god, I love me some crickets.. That moment when you're camping and the mixture of crickets, wind and rustling leaves outside the tent combines into a perfect calming sound.
And don't even get me started on rain and storms! Birds singing, crickets, wind and leaves COMBINED aren't as awesome as the soft sound of rain falling and thunder storms.
That feeling of just lying in bed, the cool and fresh scent of rain in the air flowing from the window, calming and soothing rhythm of heavy rain drops splattering across the ground and others, sliding down the windows with an occasional thunder bolt soaring through the sky with a loud bang.
It calms me down instantly. It makes me feel utterly safe and sound. Also makes me sleepy.. :) Perfect in the evenings.
I guess I should mention I am a very heavy sleeper aka I sleep like a log. Rarely anything wakes me.
Seriously, don't believe me? I live next to a fire fighters station. They start their sirens while they are still in front of the building and it's bloody loud, trust me but for me personally, I don't notice it.. How do I not notice an ear-splitting, high pitched siren? Well, after living next to it for 15 years, you kinda get used to it. :)
It's so weird when my friends visit and cover their ears while the truck passes by (if the windows are opened, it's quite loud, if not it's not that bad) and I just look at them in confusion before I realise and laugh.
Also my  room is next to the elevator (I live in a building, obviously) and I completely block out the sound.. xD Not to mention the traffic in front of my house. One of the main and busiest streets is in front of my building and the daily noise of trams, cars and buses.. Huh.

So after writing this huge chunk of text.. now what? I don't fully feel satisfied with this post..
I didn't make any jokes which most likely resulted in you not being amused with this post and of course, disinterested. You might have associated with this post but that's a slim chance.
So, seriously, now what?

Scrubs ftw!

Wicked dreams?

I'm wasn't sure if you would be interested in reading this kind of a post but here it goes.
I swear I don't take drugs!

What I dreamed last night (morning).

The dream started out with me living in this small house (just two rooms but with a back door and surprisingly a TV). It all seemed like kind of a game, it reminded me of Minecraft (the storyline; hiding in a house, in daylight I could go out but at night I put chairs in front of the doors because they kept opening at night - creepy!). At one point a cat or a dog wandered over and we became buddies. Anyway, occasionally I would get instructions from some mysterious people and I had to do them.. At one point, they (mysterious people) told me to go to the back of the house and I discovered that the house actually had another floor, few more rooms etc (It just appeared, don't ask how). Then I had some kind of a flashback in which I was trick or treating through that hallways leading to the new rooms in Harry Potter costumes, and I distinctly remember  getting the only candy from a guy dressed as Ron - 2 round yellow coloured candies and one 1 orange. I was happy for the yellow ones (lemon flavour, yay!). When the flashback was over I moved my stuff to another room which had a bigger bed and was more enclosed and I felt safer there. A couple of days later, a girl joined me. She just appeared and I invited her in and etc. It's funny because at that point, she seemed like Ginny but then later she changed into one of my real life friends.. Some time passed and then one day..
*dramatic music*
The mysterious people told us one morning that we had three hours to prepare for a Zombie Apocalypse and as soon as I heard I ran out of the house and I started fetching big rocks because my plan was to build a fort around the house, right? Guess what she did. After 2.5 hours of me fetching huge rocks, she entered the house and started driving it like a car. I'm not really sure what happened there, but at that point, it all made sense. Anyway there was a car and inside was our whole house but it had shrunken a bit. And she even put all the rocks INSIDE the house which I actually commented on because it didn't make sense to make how is she planning on escaping zombies in a car-house if  it needs to be light and fast, not filled with very heavy rocks.
"We will hit the Zombies with the rocks, silly." She said matter-of-factly. I thought she was going mad but I just went with it. Anyway, we started driving through an unfamiliar city. Two minutes into the drive, she stops the car and invites 3-5 random people on the street into the car.
The people were: Sam from Glee (random much?)
a short haired girl who looked much like Nellie from Glee Project
                           David Tennant/Callum Blue
one more girl and boy which I can't remember

To be honest, he looked more like Callum..

So we took them in and started driving on the highway and there were a couple of rows of cars in front of us. Right then I asked my friend (let's call her Katy) does she know where's she going, how does she know is she going in the right way etc. She waved her hand dismissively at me, with a total chilled face expression and says
'I know what I'm doing.' I shrug my shoulders and 5 seconds later the rows of cars in front of us abruptly stop.
Want to guess why they stopped? Hah! Perhaps it was the rows of zombies in cars and on motorcycles  behind a thick red line waiting for the start. (Zombies seem actually quite nice here, politely waiting and everything..) So, Katy, instead of stepping on the breaks, turning around and getting the hell out of there, keeps on driving straight through the rows of zombie cars, bikes and motorcycles. (I guess by this time, our car-house transformed into a self-powered car-house-bike since it could fit in between cars very easily.) So, like idiots, we started zooming past the zombies straight into Zombie town (and the apocalypse started by then). Katy got tired driving so I took over (and then the self-powered car-house-bike transformed into a... transformer?  Because it could jump, climb things and run). While I jumped from one roof to another, the people in the transformer thing were throwing rocks on occasional zombies attacking us. After a while we ended up in a familiar place (weekend cottage) and I started fighting my zombie neighbours which was.. interesting. After climbing up the electric pole to avoid a few raging elderly ladies, I woke up.
And here I am. Writing about my weird dream and making you think I'm going mad.
I hope you enjoyed this.. I guess.
Oh god.. why.

Glee - comparing season 1 and season 4

I was going to write a political post on Barack Obama and his victory but I changed my mind in the last minute. This post is going to be about Glee. It's kind of funny, actually, since I've never written about anything related to Glee before, at all. How curious..

Since most of my readers (3/5 people) don't watch Glee I will have explain the whole history Glee for them to understand... or you could just simply skip this post. Right? Though I'll remind everyone else how it went.

Comparing Season 1 and Season 4
Season 1

Rachel - lonely and left out pretty freshman girl with a loads of musical talent and an amazing voice tries out for the Glee Club
Finn - Jock who doesn't want to sing (but has a great voice) because he will get teased and he doesn't want to look like a dork but he ends up doing that anyway
Quinn - bitchy cheerleader, practically owns the school, sings
Puck - Jock who bullies nerds but ends up being one of the nerds, violent and troubled teen but ends up being better towards the end, probably slept with every girl in school, badass
Kurt - adorable but lonely flamboyant guy, amazing voice, bullied, best friends with Rachel

Plot: Rachel likes Finn, Finn is dating Quinn but kinda like Rachel. They sing a duet together and fall in love, Finn breaks up with Quinn and him and Rachel are all perfect and awesome and whatever for the rest of the season. Though keep in mind the love triangle kept mixing up for 3 full seasons and then Puck came in and knocked up Quinn and 100 more things happened..

Season 4 (keep in mind Kurt, Rachel, Finn and Quinn graduated and they're gone)
Marley aka new Rachel - lonely and left out pretty freshman girl with loads blah blah, tries out for Glee club
Kitty aka new Quinn - bitchy cheerleader, practically own the school, sings, the only difference between them is that Quinn radically changed over the course of years and she's very sweet now even though we don't see her anymore
Wade/Unique aka new Kurt - adorable but lonely flamboyant guy (well actually, Wade identifies himself as a female so transgender), amazing voice (both of them can sing VERY high), bullied, best friends with Marley aka new Rachel.
This is where it gets tricky because there a couple of options for Finn.
There's Jake (Puck's half brother who's more like new Puck but is in love with Marley but in a relationship with Kitty (so the same situation as 3 season before, a love triangle) BUT Kitty and Jake broke up and then Ryder came along who actually reminds me of Sam. Ryder is a kind of a loner who's on the football team but actually sucks at it and in the latest episode he auditioned for a musical and glee club (grease), anyway he got the part with Marley etc Ryder also seems a bit goofy and a bit stupid but in an adorable way, just like Sam is. So Marley and Sam are friends and Jake wants to be friends *cough* more *cough* with Marley while Kitty is still a self absorbed bitch. Yay!

In conclusion:
Marley = Rachel
Wade/Unique = Kurt
Kitty = Quinn
Ryder = Sam or Finn
Jake = Puck or Finn

See a pattern here?

Also, Wade reminds me a bit of Mercedes (drama queen, diva). Kurt + Mercedes = Unique. O_O

In extra conclusion:
I feel like Ryan Murphy (and his writers team) are recycling old ideas and can't think of something fresh. I liked the whole spin off with Kurt and Rachel in New York but everything pretty much stayed the same in McKinley High. We need something new, interesting and most importantly original!
And don't even get me started on Klaine.. That's a topic for a whole another post and I'm off to edit out a new Drarry HP fanfic chapter because a certain Netherlands fangirl is very anxious to read it ;)

G'night.

2012 Presidential Candidates - my opinion

Hey there readers :)
I'm in a very good mood right now (listening to fabulous jazz) so why not ruin it by talking about Mitt Romney? Hahah, well I don't want to ruin my mood on purpose but this is a topic I've been wanting to talk about for a good while.
As you may or may not know, the big election is in 4 days for the president of the United States.
We have many candidates running for president but I will only mention the two main ones.
We have: Barack Obama - current president of the USA
                                         - supports marriage equality, equality among men and women and other races
                                         - he actually cares for people with less wealth
                                         - unfortunately, he hasn't been the best president (Obamacare was a failure..), America and the rest of the world is in depth but having Mitt Romney as the president won't really change that. Whoever is in charge will have a tough time dealing with this. I've seen Obama take more action to try and fix the problems than anyone else. That's all that matters.

Mitt Romney - He is very much known for his hate against the LGBTQ community. I have posted many articles here, with him expressing disgust and disrespect for people of other sexual orientations.. which is absolutely horrifying. He has also been degrading to women and never fully expressed his opinion on equality among men and women. I think it was in the 1st or 2nd debate when he was asked how would he react on discrimination of women which is going on in the USA right now (paying women less money for the same job as men) and you know what he did? He answered with an anecdote, barely mentioning the issue at hand without a conclusion. Outrageous. I highly recommend for you to read this article..
http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/mitt-romney-was-a-high-school-gay-bashing-bully/politics/2012/05/10/39307
To sum it up, he attacked a student in high school because he was a homosexual. Well technically, the boy didn't even come out then, he only wore his hair over side of his face which resulted Romney into thinking he might be gay and he physically tackled the boy down and cut off his hair. Do you really want that kind of a person running whole United States? Sure about that?

For more information on Romney, please see this article.

As for the rest of the candidates.. I don't know much about them. I only heard Gary Johnson wants to legalize weed.. and that's about it. xD

Now regarding Obama once more.. I understand he messed some things up pretty hard and I'm not an expert nor living in America. I'm not aware half of the things Obama did or didn't do but I do know one thing. He cares for equality. Equality among all of us. That's what matters to me.

Let us all remember what Obama did for the LGBTQ community.

  • Signed the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, expanding federal hate crime law to include crimes motivated by gender, sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Signed the Affordable Care Act of 2010, a comprehensive overhaul of America’s health care system that will hold insurance companies accountable, lower health care costs, guarantee greater patient choice, and enhance the quality of care for all Americans; LGBT Americans are disproportionately uninsured, and this law will provide access to affordable coverage and protection from insurance companies that deny coverage for pre-exisLting conditions.
  • Lifted the discriminatory ban on entry to the United States based on HIV status
  • Ordered the Department of Health and Human Services to guarantee medical decision making and visitation rights to LGBT couples
  • Expanded the Family Medical Leave Act to ensure that LGBT parents and partners can take leave from work to care for their child, parent, or spouse—a right afforded to any other family."
  • Repelled the 'Don't ask, don't tell' law in the military.

Callizona and Callica

I didn't talk about this particular topic on my blog until now because I thought nobody would like it but now I've realised nobody reads my blog anyway, so who cares? :)
This post is going to be dedicated to my favorite 'ships'
As you may or may not know, shipping is taking two characters from various books, tv shows or movies and  imagining them in a romantic or  (rarely) platonic relationship. Usually people write fanfics about them, make videos or draw them perhaps. Most popular way is reading/writing fanfiction.
I'm not going to mention my Harry Potter ships because there are too many of them to fit in this post but I'll be talking about Grey's Anatomy. Glee is another quite large topics so that will also be reserved for a separate topic. Also Downton Abbey, my latest obsession.

My ultimate favorite couple on Grey's Anatomy is Callizona aka Callie/Arizona but also Callica (Callie/Erica)
Callie and Arizona absolutely adorable together. Not to mention hot.. Very, very.. hot. Erm. Right. Getting off topic.. but let's talk about Callica first since I like the chronological way better.

How Callica happened:
Callie (the brunette) was dating only guys for about four seasons until Dr. Hanh came along. Erica Hanh is a cold, professional work-a-holic but somehow over time, Callie and Erica became good friends. Mark (McSteamy - blond guy who had sex with almost every single woman in the hospital) was teasing about a threesome and they were laughing about it and how he couldn't handle them. Right then, Erica leaned in and kissed Callie. Mark watched in awe, Callie was utterly shocked and Erica walked away casually. A few days later, this scene happened. Which I find hilarious every single time I watch it.

And then this adorableness..

Which resulted in this: (I'm still laughing, hilarious scene.)

I'm sorry for all the links but I tried uploading a video so it would be easier but screw it.
Anyway, after time Erica and Callie become a couple, blah blah..

Callie was very shocked by Erica's confession and she avoided her for a while but the writers of the show decided there was no chemistry between them so they wrote Erica out of show. :/
They had the final kiss in the parking lot and then Erica walked away.. because she was transferred to a different hospital.

Long story short, Erica left and Arizona came along.
First kiss^

Callizona blossomed into an adorable, perfect relationship. The two of them are simply amazing but combined together.. I don't have the words to describe.. the amount of perfection and awesomness they are.
After almost 4 seasons, Callie and Arizona have been through a lot. Arizona left Callie and went to Africa, then she came back and Callie was pregnant with Mark's baby, then Callie asked Arizona to marry her and they crashed with their car and Callie slipped into coma... but they are safe and sound now which is good :) The writers know better than killing off one of them. The Callizona fanbase is quite big.
Enough talking.

Age and it's importance in online chatrooms

I understand I haven't been ranting much recently. Perhaps an occasional LGBTQ post here and there but let's face it.
I've been lazy.
Thank Merlin there's the no-social-life-Friday to take care of the problem. :)

The age rant:
Since I've got my own computer.. (age 9-11?) I peered into almost all corners of internet and searched the shit out of it. Of course, not literally because that would be quite impossible and also disgusting if you look at it that way. I 'discovered' something that.. Okay I can't really say 'discovered', perhaps just came to terms with..? Erm, realised? Became aware? Forget it.

Here's the thing. (Yes, finally..)
I chat a lot with people over the internet. Penpals, strangers, friends..
It all started when I found a pretty cool penpals site and simply started meeting people. (About two years ago..) I had a profile on which there was information about me and blah, blah.. People knew my real age.
All was good until I started chatting with strangers on Omegle or other non-brand chatroom..
You see, if I said I was actually 14-15 people would simply disconnect, not bothering to stay to chat.
If I said I was at least 2 years older, there was a completely different situation. Which raises another question, did those people stay because they thought I was mature enough to have a conversation with or did they just want my 'skype', 'cam' or whatever else..
As I was saying, I mostly go on Omegle because I want to meet people, learn about different lifestyles and cultures. I know it's quite hard to find another person on e.g. Omegle that wants to have a proper, decent and intelligent conversation about some recent worldwide news or perhaps just is up for a clean chat.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm not all that bloody innocent. I wrote and read so much  of smut* and PWP** until now. Oh and the roleplaying.. Oh man. I'm pretty sure I have the mind of a typical teenage, hormonal boy. Perverted and Twisted. Fuck yeah! FTW! Well I'm kinda getting off the subject here.. xD
Erm, right. It's just that sometimes I would really love to chat with someone across the world and perhaps share experiences and compare lifestyles but the second I mention I'm a freshman in High School people assume I'm another typical, wasting-his-bloody-life-drinking-and-smoking-failing-in-school-etc teenager. Or perhaps not even a teenager, a child. Well technically I'm a teen but I don't think of myself as an adult or something but that doesn't mean I can't carry a conversation. I might not be all grown up but I'm not stupid  or less worthy than you. I'm just a less experience human. That's how I see it.

A funny thing happened to me recently.. I was chatting with some 16 year old Australian guy through Omegle. I told him honestly, that I was 15 and Croatian. After a few min of talking, he said:
"There is no way you're 15, your English is too good for a person who's first language isn't English."
With that said, he disconnected before I had the chance to reply. I chuckled at that. (I would say that I laughed but I seriously didn't. I just raised an eyebrow and let out an amused chuckle. Yeah. I know. Reality hitting you hard.) Well this anecdote doesn't just compliment my English skills *blushes heavily* but I find it ironic. When I'm completely honest with other people it back fires on me. Does that mean that if I have to chat with people and be honest about my age I hev tu rajt lajk dis? Bcuz dis iz nto hepiining.
Translation: "I have to write like this? Because this is not happening."
Seriously, I worked bloody hard on my spelling and grammar and to throw it all away because someone doesn't believe me that I am telling the truth? Well fuck you then.

Words you probably didn't know the meaning of:
*Smut - Erm, erotic fanfiction
**PWP - Porn without Plot aka Plot? What Plot?
Hey! Don't judge. I can bet my ass that all of the guys reading this watched more porn than I read and wrote.. :P
I don't know for females.. *cough* same *cough* Well roughly at least.
Oh god.. I seriously need to delete this blog when I have kids. Just.. Yeah.

Happy birthday 77th birthday Julie Andrews

Julie Andrews's birthday was 2 days ago (First of October) and I wanted to have a whole post dedicated to my idol. She is a brilliant actress and singer and I can't even put into words how amazing she is.
You probably have seen her in her most famous movies like: Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Victor/Victoria, Thoroughly Modern Millie, My fair lady (on broadway) or even Princess Diaries 1,2 with Anne Hathaway.

13 Facts About Julie Andrews:
1. Julie was born on 1 October 1935 in Walton-on-Thames, England.
2. Julie was born “Julia Elizabeth Wells” and became “Julie Andrews” after her mother married her second husband.
3. Julie Began her first official voice lessons, that is by someone other than her step-father, at the age of nine and a half.
4. At age twelve, Julie was in her first professional show called Starlight Roof. She sang the “Polonaise” from “Mignon” in twelve shows a week for a year.
5. The same year that Julie appeared in Starlight Roof she was also given a screen test. She was not signed by the studio and she was deemed “unfilmable.”
6. In 1954, Ms. Andrews first came to the US to be in a production of “The Boy Friend” on Broadway.
7. Julie and her second husband Blake Edwards have been married since 12 November 1969. They have two adopted children from Vietnam together.
8. Julie has one daughter with her first husband Tony Walton. Emma Walton and her mother write books together. I personally loved “Mandy.”
9. Julie has a rose named after her. You can see it here.
10. Julie played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady on Broadway, but was passed over for the part in the film version. She played Mary Poppins instead and received the Academy Award for Best Actress.
11. In early 1998, Julie lost her singing voice after having surgery to remove a non-cancerous growth on her vocal cords. She had been told that this was a routine surgery and that it would not affect her voice. It kills me every time I remember that.. :'(
12. In 2000, Ms. Andrews was made Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II. Thanks for all of the hard work, Dame Julie!
13. Julie Andrew's best friend is Carol Burnett (also a very talented and awesome lady).  They often did comedy/musical skits at Carnegie Hall or Lincoln center. If you wand to see a hilarious 'rap' skit about kids these days and their style (parody) made by these two brilliant ladies. Click this.

From the movie Victor/Victoria. Brilliant movie.
Go watch it. No, seriously. Go. :)

Two Vietnamese adopted children :)
Daughter Emma

Her husband (the brilliant movie producer) Blake
Edwards who died recently. R.I.P.

Thank you Julie, for making my childhood so much better. I grew up (re-)watching The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. I danced around the house singing the songs and to this day I still know all the lyrics by heart. As I grew, I discovered many of your other movies that blew my mind as well. All those skits with Carol Burnett at the Carnegie Hall were hilarious and I can't even describe what joy they brought to me.
Thank you for being who you are. :)
